The Monmouth Winds,
Woodwind Quintet

Eric Ewazen: Cascadian Concerto

October 30, 2011

The Monmouth Winds features five musicians from our own MSO (Cathy Adamo, clarinet; Kitty Flakker, bassoon; Jenny Cline, flute; Richard Sachs, horn; and Nick Gatto, oboe) who got together in 2009 to play woodwind quintet chamber music repertoire they all love. They come from a variety of backgrounds, both musical and technical, and have been busy performing at weddings, senior living centers, arts festivals, and churches.  Audiences have praised their stylistic interpretation appropriate for each musical genre they are performing, as well as the balance and blend these five are able to achieve to turn their varied individual instruments into a unified ensemble sound.
