"Sound Bytes"

Here is a collection of approximately one-minute samples of the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra performing live in concert. Just click on any selection to play it.

Please note:

  • This feature is primarily intended for users with high-speed Internet access. If you are using a dial-up connection, it will still work, but there will be a long wait—at least five minutes and possibly much more—for the file to download.

  • These samples are Windows Media Audio (.WMA) files, which provide an excellent compromise between file size and quality. They will play in Windows Media Player, Real Player, Internet Explorer, and possibly other players. If the music never plays, or if you see a "screenful of garbage" instead of getting sound, you need to obtain the latest version of a suitable player by clicking one of the above links.

  • If you are using AOL and you see the message The source filter for this file could not be loaded, stay online, run Internet Explorer, and reaccess our site from there.

  • These samples are compressed, so the audio quality is not perfect. The live performance sounds much better! We'd love to have you come to our concerts and hear the real thing!
